Designer

With a history in both fashion and interior design, Ariella Zeloof has been steeped in the aesthetic throughout her life. In 1999, she turned her considerable creativity to jewelry design, founding Babylonia, and has been thriving ever since.
Unafraid to marry serious stones like diamonds, rubies, emeralds and sapphires with metals like silver, titanium and copper, Ariella also dares to put semi-precious stones at the heart of many of her most stunning pieces - using them with nobility and skill.
Ariella consistently attempts to rethink the way jewelers transform metal and stone into art, ensuring that her pieces are both unique and eminently wearable. Fearless in her designs, she constantly seeks to innovate, reinventing beauty as she goes.
With six kids all clamoring for attention, Ariella knows the importance of treating each individual according to their specific needs, and she brings this awareness to her professional life too. Her atelier is a hub of activity, as each design is fit and altered for each woman.
According to Ariella, being a jewelry designer is like being a couturier, and dressing someone’s neck is just as complex as tailoring a dress to fit a client: “just as women take care in ensuring that their clothing flatters their shape from every angle, I see to it that every piece of jewelry I sell enhances the particular woman who buys it.”
With a keen eye, an innate sense of elegance, and a sharply creative mind, her pieces come out unfailingly attractive and always striking, each one making a statement and achieving instant timelessness.
